About us
VERA AFFABA has been working in the entertainment industry for over twenty years now, spacing from cinema to television, to theatre. After being employed for many years at a few Italian film distribution companies and then as a consultant, she opened her own company in 2008. In 2023, she decided to expand her horizons towards North America, where, together with Matilde Forti, she founded 8 E MEZZO.
MATILDE FORTI has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Film from Queen Margaret University and a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies (Honours) from Brock University. Her research interests lay in cinema and television and how they are evolving in the era of the Web. Matilde was introduced to the entertainment industry when starting as an acquisition assistant in 2021. Today, she is a partner in 8 E MEZZO and works as a research assistant in Communication Studies at Brock University.
FRANCESCO MALAGUTI has a Master's Degree in Communication and Advertisement for Public Organizations at Università degli Studi di Urbino. He teaches Social Media Management, Web Content Management and Digital Marketing. Having always been incredibly passionate about cinema and the various film festivals, at 8 E MEZZO he takes care of acquisition.
